Aristoteles 1982: 122; Metaphysik IV.1, 1003, a.21). In this paper I try to answer the question about what we should signify as the deepest root in Comenius' thinking and acting. By means of the principle of analogy, it is therefore intended to transcend the world of contingent particularities to inspect the self-performance of »being in so far as it is a being« (cf. Aristotle 1982: 122; Metaphysics IV, 1; 1003 a.21). Indeed, such a point of view enables what in a particular consideration of different facts is completely unattainable – the pansophic conception of the entirety of the analogously combined spheres of reality (of God, man and world). In relation to these spheres, Comenius distinguishes in Pansophiae praeludium § 74 (Comenius 1989a: 38) between God (as archetypus), nature (as ectypus) and the skilful human mind (as antitypus). These three spheres are discernible by specific marks: God exists beyond space and time. Nature is, as a creature of God, extended in space and time. The human mind transcends the spatial extension by realising, in an abstractive manner, the essential species contained in the created world. However, the created things of the sensual world are brought back by the temporal conditioned interiority of human consciousness to the everlasting divine sphere. With regard to their elementary structure, and in an analogical sense (which implies a synthesis of identity and difference), the individual performances of these three dimensions of reality represent a similar structure in the act of their self-performance. This is because, as acts of self-expression, God, world and mind combine in an insoluble harmonic balance both monistic elements and pluralistic ones. From a holistic point of view, we can even explain: Each individual mentioned act of self-expression represents a triadic process in itself. It contains: 1. an in-sistent beginning phase, 2. an ec-sistent forming phase, and 3. a con-sistent completion phase. The so-called ontological difference signifies, in this context, that these three phases represent in God (to use a neologism of Thomas Campanella) a toti-cipative interpenetration. That means: The highest intensity of the triadically structured divine self-performance subsists without any limitations. This very basic act appears in the sensual world, as a limited one, under the condition of space and time. The human mind, however, is only limited by the condition of time. Thus we can explain: The sensual world and human mind participate, in their specific manner, in the toticipative interpenetration of the divine Trinity.
