Experience processing as an aspect of existential psychotherapy

life enhancement methodology

Dmitry A. Leontiev

pp. 79-94

The paper presents an existential methodology of life enhancement that can be applied both in the context of an existential psychotherapy session and in a non-therapeutic setting. The prototype of life enhancement is ontogogy, conceptualized by James Bugental as the second stage of the psychotherapeutic process. The process, targets and outcomes of life enhancement work are discussed, as well as theoretical explanations of personality changes resulting from the progress in understanding.
